My Smiling Brieleigh Bug

Brieleigh is starting to smile more often when we talk to her. Usually she will at least smile at least once a day which I know will increase as she gets older. Every time she does it makes my heart melt. She is so adorable, and is such a sweet, happy baby most of the time. She is so cute that David and I often think that even her cries are cute.

David and I have been thoroughly enjoying our little family of three and thank God for it everyday. He has blessed us so much by giving the three of us to each other. At night during her wide awake moments we just sit there and stare at her and talk to her showering her with kisses. I started calling her my little "Brieleigh Bug", then David picked up on it, and now it has stuck as her little nickname.

Aunt Maddy took these pictures with her nice camera so that we could have some to pick from for Brieleigh's birth announcement. She did a great job, and she had quite a cute little model to shoot as well! I love her little girly outift and bow! I have always looked forward to having a little girl to dress up.

Brieleigh's First Christmas

Brieleigh traveled alot for her first Christmas. She saw the tree at our house in Dallas, traveled 10 hours and saw the trees at her grandparents houses. She loved sitting under the tree with the lights all lit up in her first days at home. I was not too diligent to take many first Christmas pictures (which I will regret later), but I was just so thankful that God blessed us with a baby in time for Christmas. She was by far the best Christmas gift I could have ever imagined (besides Jesus, of course)!

Going to Mississippi to Meet Family and Friends

There were so many new faces to meet for little Brieleigh!


This was not in MS, but Uncle Jerry (my dad's brother) drove up from Houston the weekend after she was born to meet her!

Meeting Peter: Brieleigh's Bestest Friend and Cousin

After two long months, we were all FINALLY able to see my sister Katie and her husband David for the first time since they had their little boy and meet little Peter! It was the first time for them to meet Brieleigh as well so it was very special. This was one of the main reasons that I wanted so badly to go home to MS for Christmas even though it was a big trip for us so soon after delivery.

It is hard living so far away.

Peter was so precious! He looked so much bigger than Brieleigh since she was just a few days old. Since girls usually grow faster at first, I am sure she will catch up or pass him for a little while. I am thrilled that they are so close in age and hope that they will always be close friends!
