David has found a new pastime... squirrel hunting. Ok, so it is not exactly hunting, but more squirrel deterring. We have a nice sized pecan tree in our backyard that is (or was) filled with big, luscious pecans. Our squirrel friends, though, always eat everyone of them before they are ripe leaving us with none. David decided he was going to attempt to save some of the remaining pecans by shooting the squirrels with his air soft gun. I don't think too many of them have actually been hit, but they definitely run and hide when he comes. He shot a pecan out of one of the squirrels mouth recently. I am highly entertained watching him run outside every time he sees a squirrel running around up there!
my dad does the very same thing... all to save his pecans and tomatoes.
