May Fun

Alas, again I have falling behind in the blogging world. There is so many fun memories and happenings to report though so I will give a summary.

We went camping for our second time with Brieleigh mid-May. We went with Jane and Andrew Edson again to Lake Ray Roberts State Park close to here. It stormed badly Friday night so we postponed our trip to Saturday and just stayed one night. The weather ended up being perfect- not too hot and cool at night. Brieleigh had a great time as usual. She is so laid back and easy going (which the doctor says she gets from her parents- I never thought of myself as laid back, but I guess we are both pretty even keel). We took a few hour hike where Brieleigh rode in our hiking carrier for her first trip (we got it almost new at a garage sale for only $20!). She loved her view inside there. David said he forgot how much he liked fishing so fished with every lure and worm he had, and even an innocent little grasshopper, but we caught nothing. We cooked pork carnitas and smores on the fire and told stories. That night the racoons discovered how to open our latched tupperware box and ate our food :( . I don't like racoons, and I was not too happy about them eating my food. (All those pennies I try to save with my coupons, and they blew it!)
The park was pretty empty, and we loved just being in God's creation. The hiking trail reminded me of hiking in the woods in Mississippi with Miss Aunt Donna!

Brieleigh discovered dirt! We found her sitting there chewing on a muddy stick. (Oh well, I read a study that kids who eat dirt develop less allergies!)

Daddy putting yet another lure on his fishing line.

Taking a break from hiking in the pack to feel the cool water on her feet.

More fun pictures from May....

Stopping to smell the flowers.. she really wanted to eat these.

Tired little playful B bug

Rolling over to the shelf to see what mischief she can find

These are Brieleigh's 5 Month pictures.. May 15th! Wow, 5 months!!

A very overjoyed mother with her precious daughter

Sweet Pea! (I decided to use my camera timer.)

I may be biased, but is she not the cutest little girl ever?

...and so sweet and full of life!
